Want to do something fulfilling during your vacations or a gap year? Always thought about making a difference and didn’t know where to begin?  Perhaps your time spent at Building Dreams Foundation will give you the experience you were looking for. 

Our interns generally commit to a one- three months period. For those who wish to stay beyond, we will be happy to have you on board.

Internships are offered in Dehradun and Kalagachhia village in West Bengal. 

 

 APPLYING FOR INTERNSHIP

  • Do send us your resume’, approximate duration (dates) and preferred location for your internship.
  • Minimum duration is one month.
  • Please let us know why you would like to join us, what you think you will learn and what you expect from us, along with your resume.
  • Internship offers are on a rolling basis, so apply at the earliest for consideration.
  • Selected individuals will be provided with their schedule and tasks and what is expected of them before arrival at the location.
  • We don’t provide stipend and accommodation for the internship period, but can assist you with it. 
  • Interns have to work 5 days a week and 7 hours per day.
  • If you wish to teach any skill or impart specialized training to students, do let us know prior to your joining date.
  • We will appreciate your sincerity and seriousness towards it. We expect you to be responsible and hardworking candidate.
 
An official Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded after a successful completion of your internship/ volunteer program.
 
 

RULES & REGULATIONS

  • Interns should be 18 years of age or older.
  • Internship commitment shall be a minimum of 30 working days and 7 hours per day.
  • Interns must actively participate in the organization’s daily activities during their internship period.
  • Interns must be sensitive and compassionate towards the children and communities we work with.
  • In the village, we try to be mindful of cultural and societal norms in terms of language used, dress and general interaction with the local community. Interns will be briefed before they arrive at the location.  
  • Interns should be honest, diligent and punctual in their work at the organisation.
  • Interns must comply with all the rules and regulations, and be respectable representatives of the organization.
  • Interns should believe in and uphold the values of BDF:
    Respect for Human Dignity, Transparency, Innovation, Accountability, Secularism, Non-violence and working in partnership with everyone at the organization and the community.
